Welbeck is out of contract with Watford before joining Brighton in 2020, making 53 appearances and scoring 12 goals.
Following an impressive start to the season with a 2-1 win over Manchester United and a 0-0 draw with Newcastle, Brighton have extended his contract with the 31-year-old until the summer of 2024.
Graeme Potter said of the veteran striker’s contract extension: “Danny has done a great job for us since he arrived. He quickly became an integral part of the team. and a true leader.”
“He is very important to us on the pitch, he has done a lot for the ufabet team. And I’m looking forward to working with Danny in the coming seasons.”

The club announced the signing of a new two-year deal with the 31-year-old player.
Welbeck has played for Brighton since 2020. He played 53 matches for the club and scored 12 goals.
